Sophia Silvers

Sophia Silvers, soprano, is currently studying vocal performance with Julie Miller at CSU Sacramento. Before transferring to Sacramento State in 2021, she studied music at American River College. Sophia is part of the Sacramento State Opera program, and is looking forward to her next role as La Fée in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon. Sophia is excited to perform her junior recital on March 17. Sophia will participate in the ensemble of the Sacramento Philharmonic and Orchestra production of Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème, and will be singing alongside Andrea Bocelli in May. She is both the soprano section leader in University Chorale and Vice President on the Chorale Executive Board. Sophia sings with Camerata California and Schola Cantorum, and has previously sung with the Sacramento Master Singers. Outside of school and performing, Sophia is a voice and piano instructor at Music Lab in Granite Bay, and teaches general music at an after school program at Barrett Ranch Elementary.
