Music and libretto by Pamela Madsen, featuring soprano Stacy Fraser, vocalists-in-residence, the Four Corners Ensemble, and conductors Edward Cumming. A preview of Sunday’s Chamber Operas will be offered – opera Citizen Penny by composer Helena Micheleson and librettist Laura Shamas with conductor Glen Adsit.

Collaboration between composers, vocalists, pianists, and Four Corners Ensemble faculty instrumentalists Joshua Anderson, Christina Adams, Cathie Apple, & Timothy Stanley, for this world premiere of twelve original art songs. Featuring Sacramento State Faculty Scott Perkins (composition), Kurt Erickson, Robin Fisher (voice), and Operation Opera piano faculty Shinae Kim.

Five Chamber Operas
Five chamber opera receives world premiere: Hero's Awakening (music by Sierra Wojtczack, libretto by Sean Penzo), Citizen Penny (music by Helena Michelson, libretto by Laura Shamas), Legit Secret (music & libretto by Alon Neuchushtan), Juvenilia (music by Zachary Detrick, libretto by Margot Connolly), & The Drive (music & libretto by Thomas Peters), featuring vocalists-in-residence, voice faculty, Four Corners Ensemble, and conductors Glen Adsit, Edward Cumming, and Ryan Murray.

All concerts will be held in the Capistrano Concert Hall at 6000 J Street, Sacramento, California 95819. Each performance runs between 60 and 90 minutes with no intermission. Seating is General Admission.
